ABOUT THE NAME 'FeReLi'

My first name is Felicia. My middle name is Rena (pronounced Ruh-Nay). I am named in honor of my oldest sister who passed away as a newborn baby. My mother affectionately called me 'Lisa'. 

Years ago, particularly when I created any poems, plays, drawings, or publications, in honor of my mother, and my sister, I used the combination of the first two letters of those names to sign my work, while giving homage to my loved ones and to my beginning.

ABOUT MY EVENT PLANNING BUSINESS

I've always had a knack for getting people together. I love the fun and fellowship!

But - I remember when I first got engaged in 2001. I was super excited and immediately sought out and hired the advertised "best event planner" in my area. After weeks and weeks of no initiated communication, no return phone calls, no show meetings, and no forward movement on my wedding plans (from the person I'd hired to do it), I figured: if I'm going to do the work myself, I may as well fire them and save the money, time, stress and insult!

I ended up planning my own wedding event from start to finish, including the decorations, programs, navigation of wedding party attire/fitting - everything! It was spectacular and still set the standard for many weddings after.

Needless to say, I've been at it ever since. 

Having been doing this for years, I finally made it official and registered my business with the State of GA Secretary of State on 11/14/2019. Feel free to verify my business status on the Georgia Corporations Division website. My Control Number is: 19151806.

That one bad experience fueled me to be the passionate, dedicated, caring, and dependable event-planning professional that I am.
